Normally, I can do all of my banking online or through an ATM. The one exception is when I have a US cheque to deposit (for things such as product rebates). I have both Vancity and Citizens Bank accounts and always go to a Vancity branch on the rare occasion that I get a US cheque.
This particular lunch hour, I was pressed for time and remembered that the Vancity branch near me is always packed during the day. I am lucky enough to work near the only Citizens Bank Vancouver branch, so I decided to walk over there to see if they have teller service. They certainly do! There's one teller and there was no line up. I was able to make a quick US cheque deposit to my Canadian account (note that Citizens Bank also has US dollar accounts) and I returned to work happy and on time 😀
