Just noticed this: the current interest rate on the Investment Account is 1.5%. Previously was 2.4% for as long as i was aware of this account, going back years to before the introduction of the Ultimate Savings Account. I can't seem to find information on when this rate change happened.

Happened to notice that 1.25% is now the current interest rate for the Investment Account. Now i suppose only of use to those that value an interest rate (though relatively low) over free bank card transactions as offered by the new "Global Chequing Account".

Well, the best combination is now Global Chequing Account + Ultimate Savings Account. Then you just keep as much money as you can in the Ultimate Savings Account and instantly transfer it to the Global Chequing Account whenever you need it.

There's really no need for the Investment Savings Account, then. Simply open an Ultimate Savings Account (USA) and transfer your money over. 🙂

Or, better yet, do what Peter suggests and open the USA along with the Global Chequing Account (GCA).

Cheers,
Doug
