CT=Canadian Tire Bank?
Yes, CT= Canadian Tire Bank. I used your same abbreviation for clarity (or at least so I thought, lol).
Once you are logged in to Canadian Tire Bank, Click on Account Services and Click on Direct Deposit Request.
Fill out the form. The Deposit Type, Company Name and Company Address can all be fictitious, they are just required to generate the rest of the information. Once you click Continue, the Institution, Transit Number and Account Number are displayed with the digits required for Electronic Fund Deposits/Withdrawals.
Note: There may be extra digits on your bank account that you don't normally see. These extra digits are required when setting up Electronic Funds Deposits/Withdrawals.
I have found that if you get the Direct Deposit Form, you then have all of the digits required. This has worked for me with 10 Financial Institutions, I have yet to have one fail. Using this method, I have not had the microdeposits bounce even once.
Hope this information helps you and perhaps a few others who are struggling to find success with setting up Electronic Funds Deposits/ Withdrawals.

Guess it depends on the FI. I regularly pay all my bills from my Motive regular savings and do pulls from my Tang, Hubert and EQ savings...no fees on any of them
I tried paying bills from Tang ,Simplii ,and CIBC. I have checking and savings accounts with them. The only option is from my checking account.
My Ontario CU has checking and savings account. I have the option of paying from either my checking account or savings account. Maximum of TWO payments per month without a fee.
My Manitoba CU has only a savings account. Maximum of ONE payment a month without a fee.
Never able to do PULL from savings account since ALL external links are checking accounts.
Have a Great Day

EQ was the easiest to set up. Did both my Tang checking and savings accounts at the same time from the EQ site. Now I can yank any promo funds directly from the savings account into EQ. Can only do from Tang checking the other way though. 3 FI link limit at Tang is a bit onerous.

This is great information--thanks for the discussion.
Now, I am wondering about PAD (Pre-Authorized Debits) with Canadian Tire Bank.
I want to pay my taxes to Canada Revenue Agency and set up a PAD with CRA so they will take the money directly from my back account on the due date. Will this work with Canadian Tire Bank?
Has anyone had any experience with PAD and Canadian Tire Bank?

I confess I got a bit lost in the details.Question: Can I go into my Tangerine chequing and/or savings and do a pull from my CT account?
Yes, I did it and it worked.
Some customer service reps say that it will work. Some say it will sometimes work. Others say it will not work and is prohibited.

I have successfully set up pulls from CT via Manulife too.
Just get the CT banking info as follows:
Go to Account Services > Direct Deposit Request > Continue > Print This Page (choose to PDF) ... No need to click SUBMIT. Includes CDN TIRE Logo on form.
The correct info that will show up is:
Bank # 338
Transit: 01012
Acct #: 12-digit format (actually 6 digit acct + 6 digit customer number):
e.g. 170x00xxxxxx

Don't you need a CT void cheque to setup a link from Tangerine side ? which they don't provide I believe ? I'm not sure how did you set it up in Tangerine. I currently only have my Tangerine chequing linked in my CT account, so I push/pull from CT only.

Nope, you just need the information that smayer97 gave. They'll deposit verification amounts, you type them in on Tangerine side, verified and linked.
I see, that's new for Tangerine, they use to require a void cheque. Good to know, Thanks.
I tried to link my CT in Tangerine I realized they still have a limit of three account, Oh well !
