I'm not sure if this is a targeted offer or available to everyone. If you are a CTB customer and didn't get an email, I'd recommend contacting them to confirm before making deposits. Not sure if this is available to new customers. Call to check.

Small print at your link says:

The bonus rate applies only to (i) selected customers who received a communication about this offer and (ii) new deposits made on or after December 10, 2018 up to a maximum of $500,000 in new deposits.

Ah, thanks.

If they sent it to me then they should be sending it to everyone -- I'm hardly a CTB whale.

Or maybe they're pulling a Homer Simpson and choosing via rounds of eeny meeny miny mo.

Kind of like a "me too" moment for the banking industry.

I have an account so I sent an email asking for the 3.2%. I got an email back asking me to call in. I got excited and called and was told that unless I had received an invitation email this offer was not available to me. The invitation email had been sent to only a few very special customers. Of which I am not I was told. Clearly they don't want my $100k, so I will send it to Simpli for now.

Got their offer yesterday, really don't know what they means by "special" customers only, I never had more than 5K there and I moved it out 7 years ago, in 2011. It's empty right now. Same scheme as Tangerine where it seems to be more luck of the draw than anything else as to who get offer and who does not.
