Both sites says they offer 3.30% on their HISA. What's the difference between the two accounts and which site do you use to sign up?

Essentially they are exactly the same. 1-866-249-1489 and 1-866-334-4434 both are just automated systems that direct to the same call centre...they just know which one is calling so they answer the phone correctly.

B2B Bank is institution number 618 with transit 06231 and the bank account numbers will be 12 digits starting with 8400xxxxxxxx.

LBC Digital uses Laurentian Bank institution number 039 with transit 06031 and the bank account numbers will be 12 digits starting with 8100xxxxxxxx.

Pick whatever one you want. Both are blue debit cards with the same starting numbers just different logos.

YOU COULD sign up for both if you want...but remember to use a different email if you do or it will cause problems.

So long story short - they are the same...pick one.

I now have accounts with both B2B and LBD. Currently, I find LBD has online systems issues whereas B2B doesn't. For example, I tried earlier to-day to do a transfer using the bank link to my LBD HISA and got an error message. I then tried the same transfer using the same bank link to my B2B HISA and all went well.

BTW: The U.S. Federal Reserve announced to-day that they expect no interest rate changes in 2020 (a U.S. presidential election year). This probably means the Bank of Canada will also keep their rate stable.

The LBC Digital HISA is an account with CDIC member Laurentian Bank of Canada.

The B2B Bank HISA is an account with a different CDIC member B2B Bank.

B2B Bank is a separate bank that's owned by the Laurentian Bank of Canada.
