    Why do you bank with them?: I thought it would make my banking experience a little more simple for me. You know I was wrong simply the worst should be their name.

    What do you like about this bank / credit union?: I honestly I thought I like just them in general no fees frigging customer service was good at the beginning but now customer service sucks. They never answer any of your questions they blame you for their sight malfunctions

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Maybe notify people when you’re gonna do scheduled maintenance show it in the app have a little bubble pop up or something so people aren’t stranded on the side of the road out of gas while they wait until 3 AM Eastern time

    General comments: Honestly, they put you in a bad spot numerous times like the last time this is the third time actually this is happened to me where I put money cash into the machine and you expect to have it right in your account right no no they make you wait until the next day because they’re doing scheduled maintenance now if I had known that they were doing scheduled maintenance I wouldn’t have deposited. I wouldn’t have put it in there. I have another bank account. I can gladly use that one but instead, I chose you simply, but because they didn’t notify me, three times I have been left high and dry until whenever the hell they’re done

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Drawn out process of opening an account.

    General comments: It's Sept 4 opened one had to submit documents twice. Got an email welcome. A bank card will come in the mail with a welcome package etc. Saturday called in to customer service asking how it worked. A good chunk going in. Okay sounds good using it for the promotion interest rate. I will check my mail for the pin. She said just go to any CIBC bank machine activate your debit card. I did said not activated. They said your verification isn't approved. Dad is retired but one of the top bankers in the country. Told them go f yourself. Yes they deserved that comment. I got the letter at home stating welcome good to go. Identify is approved the typical stuff. Obviously don't deal with Simplii Financial

    General comments: simplii financial has made a moderately simple process so unbelievably difficult and full of red tape that every interaction with them causes me to cry. I am urging everyone I know not to bank with this institution.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: CIBC upped investments in fossil fuels over the past few years.

    General comments: No longer going to be banking with them as the parent company (CIBC) has significantly upped investments in fossil fuels despite claiming to be "pledged to the environment." C'mon. Banking is fine, never had any hidden fees or anything, customer service was ok, if that's all that matters.

    General comments: Banking has changed over the years. With electronic banking ,transactions shouldn’t have to take days to process. Charging people to access their hard earned money is criminal. Their profits seem to take precedence over customer service.

    Why do you bank with them?: I originally banked with them because of no fees.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Get a physical location that I can take money out of my account because if you lose or break your bank card like I did you have to wait five to seven business days for a new one and access to your funds.

    General comments: This is the most unprofessional horrible bank in the world. They are an absolute joke bank.

    What do you like about this bank / credit union?: Not much other than the promo rate.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: The website is atrocious. CAUTION: If you try to move money "today", you will be required to specify tomorrow's date. Then when you do that and submit the request, it "Simplii" disappears. It does not show as an "upcoming" transfer (for the next day), does not show as pending, does not show as completed. There is no record of the transfer request having been submitted or pending. Anywhere. I called Simplii about this, and asked if there was an error on my side, and they said no -- that is how their website is set up.

    General comments: Would not recommend except for promo rates.

    General comments: Everytime I need to do something online, it fails and I have to call. Then I find out that they need more info to set up the account. It never ends. I was going to buy 50-60K of GIC's but I'm moving my initial 20k back to Tangerine.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Mortgage service is horrific , inefficient and inresponsive

    General comments: If you value your time do NOT get a mortgage or refinance one here. It has been drawn out over a month and they don’t answer the phone EVER, don’t call back and the emails are only partial answers to questions when they come at all. Awful experience! Thought it would be easiest as I am often out of country but I was terribly wrong. Mortgage expired in Sept and still work Hour the arrangements signed off. NEVER again!!!!

    How long have you banked with them?: I have banked with presidents choice for over 10+ years and have had nothing but amazing experience. When Simplii took over the level of customer service plummeted... Was awful!

    General comments: I am very dissatisfied was Simplii Financial I will be changing my account as soon as possible to another bank. I have been trying to get a line of credit and been working on the file since July it is almost the end of August 2018 and it has not gone through after many promises that it would go. We were approved in July. The paperwork that should not take a month to complete. They have had many representatives on sick leave and my file has been bounced around from representative to representative without any resolve. There has been little communication and I called very angry and the customer service person raise their voice with me... Very unprofessional!!!

    General comments: We are trying desperately to get away from this disgusting example of a company. They've locked down our money to the point of going on 2 MONTHS now since we started the process of switching banks! 2 MONTHS! With no access too the account! We almost got evicted for Christ sakes! And the bank that's trying to get our account away from these thieves is even having a nightmare of a time making any progress. Serious question: the have our money, wont release it and we have no access to it. at one point does this actually become theft? We're discussing getting a lawyer. Stay away from simplii.

    General comments: Simplii Financial - Avoid at all Costs !! Terrible Banking Company! The Absolute Worst!! They Closed my checking account and other accounts because of too many email transfers, deposits and withdrawals. On top of that they are still holding my direct deposit for over $5500 for over a week now and also holding a direct deposit email transfer. I can not get a hold of anyone and constantly on hold when I call in for anywhere from 30 min to an hour only to finally talk to someone to only be transfer to someone else. Then finally only to be hung up on or transferred to another incompetent employee. DO NOT sign up with this company What is the point of having a bank account if I can not email transfer money, make deposits and take money out of the bank. I had direct deposit from my employer every 2 weeks for over 15 years and I sent a lot of email transfers and spent a lot of cash from withdrawing at bank machine. I was with PCfinancial for over 15 years with absolutely no issues until Simplii financial took over. once they closed all my accounts I immediately Jumped over to another Banking Company (I won't mention any names just incase I have issues with them too ) However so far way better service and not one single issue.

I wanted to increase my loan, I was going to pay the majority off on the existing loan, I would have had under $1000. I wanted to borrow $10000 to pay off my credit cards. I dont understand why they dont want to help me get out of debt. Surely they would benefit from the interest payments that I am currently paying on the credit cards. It doesn't make sense. Obviously the payments I am making now are more than they would be for one loan. Its so frustrating.

    General comments: Stupid bank keeping me in debt for longer than I need to be. Seriously a bit of actual customer compassion would go a long way. But I guess all financial institutions are the same, they are all greedy beyond belief screw the customers. Right???

    General comments: You do get what you pay for, some people will never be happy. But for free banking, I have saved thousands over the last 13 years and I will continue to save. If you want tellers and people to talk with then you need to go elsewhere. But if your apt at banking online, over the phone, then you will enjoy not paying fees every month, and free cheques, but if you must complain and you need someone to listen, go bank somewhere else, this is not for you.

Inknow usually security questions asks 3 times, usually ur full name, birthday, or maybe something you put on your acct. today my husband was asked 5times on how much you spend, how much you put in, what is your balance, a check you put in 2 mos ago. how many of these you have to answer??

    General comments: we have 3 banks and pc is our 3rd bank, we are not big savers nor bug spenders, but come on, these are not security questions. what if i did not open my online acct, how could you possible remeber the check you dispense 2 mos back. and hey we are joint account but I am not allowed to help. you are suppose to be peacefully dealing with their customer service but guest what i got headaches and my husbands feels like he was under arrest for all these question. my husbands wants me to close this acct ever since, but i keep refusing. but today I will close this account!!!!

    General comments: Garbage service, online banking don’t work worth shit been trying to register online for 40 mins and not working been on phone with client support at the same time. Strait garbage company hands down I will tell everyone not to bank with you guys what so ever, I’m glad I have no other services with you guys cause I would be pissed. Maybe with the amount of money you guys make should invest opening a branch or be able to go into a cibc location to do banking since ur partners with them.

    Why do you bank with them?: I had no choice as PCF sold its business & my assets to Simplii.

    What do you like about this bank / credit union?: Nothing! They should quit while they're ahead

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Their service is crappie! They've canceled my "lost" Simplii card which they sent via unsecured snail mail but in so doing also canceled my PC card ( recall...same ##s, same passwords with switch to Simplii). So, now it's 6 days B4 Xmas & I have no cash as I can't access my money's via ATM, On-line-or via phone banking. Thanks Simplii...you've ruined my Xmas & caused me great inconvenience by holding my money in a manner that bars me access to it. As soon as I get access, I'm ditching Simplii & heading over to Tangerine! I suspect that others will likely follow suit! Simplii put...Simplii services SUCK!!!Nothing...they're slow & incompetent!

    General comments: It is 3rd time that they are screwing up my debit daily withdrawal limit. They change again again from 1000 to 500 without any resaon. Today, I called, and I was told that I called in July and asked to reduce, while lie on my face and when I confronted the customer service guy, he cut off the line and disappear like he is working for government, very rude and arrogant customer service .

    What do you like about this bank / credit union?: Jz the free monthly fees.but everytime u hv a problem u have to call their line and wait for atleast an hour for u tbe answered by their special department. Some of their department only opens weekdays.causing my husband to take half day off from work. He is not even driving. Jz taking busses.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Better interest rates (seen graph over last few years and the rates have steadily dropped). The promotions should be automatically applied to existing customers (i.e., 2.6% for new monies until Dec.) instead of them having to register for it (a representative actually had the audacity to suggest that some people don't want the promotion)

    General comments: This is my first online banking account experience and I'm overall satisfied in the simplicity of paying bills and transfer monies between accounts, but I'm still going to look for another bank with better interest rates (and hopefully automated promotion entries for existing customers)

    What do you like about this bank / credit union?: As long as my banking requests fit squarely into their account features & associated fees I have never had any problems, for basic daily online banking I would recommend them.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Bureaucratic nightmare when dealing with customer service. Because the only people you ever speak with in person are at their pavilions (they dont have tellers) if you need something that these people are unauthorized to do you have to wait endlessly for any banking request that cannot be done online. Everything has to be sent via fax or mail and a simple request that would normally take 5 mins takes 5-7 business days. If something goes wrong everyone passes the buck and instead of calling you they will tell you that because they are a free bank they are not allowed to make outbound calls to inform you. You must call them every day and get people's names & hold them accountable. Always ask to speak to a supervisor, the people at the pavilions and general customer service are low paid and generally mindless drones. The incompetence can be astounding and nobody will accept responsibility for anything. If you find a good person (a supervisor who can help) get their ext & always call them directly.

    General comments: you get what you pay for and when they f* up, that is what they will tell you in typical "polite" torontonian.

    General comments: Upsetting and poor or bad experienced last may 3,2014.the machine didnot dispense the money I'm trying to withdraw and was debited on my acct.,which is really upsetting and concerning.Waited on the phone for more than 30 mins. and then just to tell you that it might take up to 10 days of investigation, Wasn't happy at all and so upset.I've think of changing a bank.

    Why do you bank with them?: I get good service with their master card and like the money off groceries with the card. When I opened my savings accounts with them they used to have good rates of interest.

    What do you like about this bank / credit union?: The PC financial master card.

    What could be improved about this bank / credit union?: Interest rates have become poor and are much better at credit unions. This 'no fee' bank charges $50 to transfer out a TFSA. Be warned! This is hidden away in the legalese part of the web site and is not clear up front.

    General comments: I have moved my TFSA and savings account elsewhere to get higher interest rates.
